Coaching Circles

  • Among other things, the coaching process involves evoking new awareness and exploring possibilities using deep listening, powerful questions, and the setting of goals to put systems of support and accountability in place to move towards desired outcomes.

  • Being a part of a coaching circle allows for leaders to form deep connections with others working in similar fields, level-up their own knowledge through shared study and in-depth exploration, and have strategic, mission-focused opportunities for collaborative planning, troubleshooting and dreaming with others who understand the joys and the struggles of this type of work.   As coaches, we have seen the power of groups directed at business executives that bring groups of people in similar positions together for regular sessions of support, learning, and processing issues in a context where trust has been built and collaboration is a core value.  We believe that non-profit, faith-based and small business owners deserve the same type of support that executives receive - but at a price that is aligned with their budgets.

  • Collective Impact Coaching Circles are made-up of 5-12 non-profit leaders from around the Rochester Area. As a part of this circle, you would receive the following benefits:

    • Meeting with your group for one half-day session per month (generally a 3-4 hour period) on a regular date/time. In each session there would be a mix of:

      • Leadership development activities (such as an outside speaker, exploring a useful tool, engaging in a book study, discussing an article, and so forth)

      • Group sharing (including giving updates on each member’s big projects, personal news, and the processing of challenging situations under the guidance of your coach)

      • Information on the work of your host and their organization (including new initiatives, facilities tour, etc.)

    • Being part of a group chat (on a platform to be decided by the group such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Discord or similar)

    • Engaging in a monthly private coaching session.

  • While this type of coaching for business leaders can cost tens of thousands of dollars a year, Collective Impact Circles are designed with the needs, and the budgets, of non-profit leaders in mind. As a member of a Collective Impact Coaching Circle, participants are asked to make an investment to:

    • Host the group at your facility 1-2 times per year

    • Prioritize the group by striving to hold calendar space for our regular meetings and also engaging actively

    • Contribute an annual membership fee

  • We currently offer four annual coaching circles one each for the following groups:

    • Faith Leaders

    • Non-profit Leaders

    • Small Business Owners

    • Individuals in Career Transitions or who are preparing for Retirement
